Pawel Luchowski

Pawel Luchovsky is a sculptor and object artist.
Born in 1969 in Grifow SL (Greifenberg, Lower Silesia)

The multi-talented artist, influenced by Fluxus, studied art with Professor Jerzy Zyndwalewicz from 1990 to 1992 after completing his stage design training at the theater in Wroclaw (Breslau), and then sculpture with the artists and professors Leona Podsiadtego and Aloijzego Gryta.

In his works, Pawel Luchowski explores the possibilities of human and cultural perception, translating these moments into often humorous perspectives in the style of Fluxus. In doing so, he also works with role models from recent art history, such as Joseph Beuys, whom he reflects on in some of his works and continues to explore thematically.

As an experienced sculptor and connoisseur of a wide variety of materials and manufacturing techniques, from bronze casting to working with wood and assemblages of various materials, Pawel Luchowski utilizes a broad spectrum of techniques, including oil painting, various printing processes, and airbrush techniques.

The artist has been successfully exhibiting his work in numerous exhibitions in Poland and Germany since 1994. One of his most recent and impressive works is the sculpture “Bull&Bear—The Constant Battle.”

His series “apes” and “Napoleon/young generation” were also published as KunstKontor editions.

The screen printing series “Jagdrausch” (Hunting Rush) is currently very popular. Four motifs, each limited to 30 copies, were created exclusively for KunstKontor.
The works are available in 60 x 40 cm and 90 x 60 cm formats.
