Lavinia Baumstark

Studied Art History with a focus on modern and contemporary art.

Gained initial practical experience in art dealing and studio work by assisting Stefan Szczesny in Saint-Tropez (2017/18) and simultaneously working at KunstKontor Wiesbaden. In 2019, deepened curatorial skills through an internship at Kunsthalle Messmer in Freiburg.

From 2020/21, worked as a gallerist and scientific advisor at Galeria 111 in Lisbon, focusing on artist support, fair coordination, and collection development.
In 2022, held further positions at Sotheby’s Paris and the Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg, followed by a traineeship at Ketterer Kunst in Munich, specializing in market analysis, cataloging, and auction management.

From 2023/24, Specialist for Modern and Contemporary Art at Ketterer Kunst and co-head of the Cologne representative office. Responsible for exhibitions, auctions, and international collector relations.

Since 2025, Art Historical Associate at KunstKontor Wiesbaden. Responsible for the documentation, preparation, and presentation of gallery and collection activities, the curatorial supervision of contemporary artists, and strategic communication with project partners in an international context.
