In his APES edition, artist Pawel Luchowski combines 19th-century painting with his humorous interpretation of the monkey/human relationship.
Pawel Luchowski, born in 1969 in Grifow SL (Greifenberg, Lower Silesia), is a sculptor and object artist.
The multi-talented artist, influenced by Fluxus, studied art with Professor Jerzy Zyndwalewicz from 1990 to 1992 after completing his training in stage design at the theater in Wroclaw (Breslau), and then sculpture with the artists and professors Leona Podsiadtego and Aloijzego Gryta.
In his works, Pavel Luchowski explores the possibilities of human and cultural perception, translating these moments into often humorous perspectives in the style of Fluxus.
In doing so, he also works with role models from recent art history, such as Joseph Beuys, whom he reflects on in some of his works and continues to explore thematically.

As an experienced sculptor and connoisseur of a wide variety of materials and manufacturing techniques, from bronze casting to working with wood and assemblages of various materials, Pawel Luchowski utilizes a broad spectrum of techniques, including oil painting, various printing processes, and airbrush techniques.
The artist has been successfully exhibiting his work in numerous exhibitions in Poland and Germany since 1994. He also regularly works as a commissioned artist for room installations and has recently been creating spectacular installations in his homeland, such as the 2012 installation Labyrinth (Posen Castle). impressively staged.
Pavel Luchowski, a multi-talented artist, is a sculptor, object artist, painter, and graphic artist who works closely with KunstKontor in the field of art installation/object art in many of his art projects.
In 2014, he created the extraordinary ensemble of figures “Bull&Bear – The Constant Battle,” a screen-print series “Jagdrausch” on the theme of hunting scenes/hunting symbolism, with unique pieces executed in enamel.
Pawel Luchowski created his works, “Napoleon” and the works in the “young generation” and “apes” series, in 2017/2019. In 2020, in addition to the Apes series, he created works in enamel, executed in high-quality craftsmanship. Covid 19 deals with the event in a reflective reference to the subject of holy images and health symbolism. The “apes” series will be presented to the public for the first time at the end of 2020. Some of the works are also available in the limited KunstKontor Edition, produced using the gallery print process on acrylic/aluminum.
